HTOT displayed at the 2017 Photonics West show held in San Francisco. We brought our large format sapphire window-Dia 510*22mm thickness, and other sapphire ingots, substrates, wafers and optical windows.

Our large format sapphire plate attracted many customers' interest. We were very proud to have this product selected by UC Berkeley for use as the half-wave plate for the PolarBEAR project in the Atacama telescope array.

We also displayed some examples of Sapphire/Glass laminations which demonstrated how the scratch resistance of sapphire can be combined with the low cost of glass to provide a more cost effective solution for many applications. The laminations were done by Seamark International Inc.

We found many attendees at this years show to be very optimistic about the expanding uses for sapphire with the expectation that sapphire consumption will increase in 2017. We were very fortunate to be able to meet with many of our existing customers and meet many new prospects. We believe that we can reduce costs for users of sapphire while providing very high and consistent quality of material and service.
